Schett bounced back in style

Austria's Barbara Schett caused an upset in the Swisscom Challenge tournament when she beat much-fancied Nathalie Tauziat.

Schett bounced back from a set down to fight her way through the next two but not without controversy.

Tauziat, angered by an over-rule which gave Schett the break for 4-3 in the third, slammed down her racquet and argued with the umpire.

"When I broke her at 3-3 in the third set it was a really tough call and she really got very upset. But I took advantage. I was sitting at the changeover thinking I really had to take her now, and I did it," said Schett.

Schett was on top of her game prior to the debated call, playing some fine baseline and serve-and-volley shots.

The Austrian should have won the first set and held a 4-1 lead but Tauziat fought back.

Schett did well to regain her confidence in the second and again broke Tauziat early to take a 3-1 lead - only this time she made no mistake.
